Street Photography Archives

This is a compilation of the street style photography I created during my undergraduate years at the University of Oxford.

Using predominantly film photography, I created an archive documenting my early adult years which I then categorised according to the cities the images were shot in. This archive serves as a visual diary of the cities I lived and travelled to, and is an exercise of observation and recording my personal history. The lines between the external and internal emotional landscape blur and became an act of uncovering and noticing things about myself and my environment.

Whilst my practice has evolved since then, this documentary approach helped me understand photography as a spiritual, meditative practice and continues to influence my artistic philosophy today. The images below were all shot in Oxford with the majority of them documenting my experience of isolation during the Covid pandemic of 2020.
